Family Fun and Summer Savings in Lawton!

On Saturday, June 9, 2018, your local Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM Dealership sponsored the Military Appreciation Family Fun Day at Fort Sill LETRA! The event was held in the middle of the Wichita Mountains, in Medicine Park, where celebrators had the chance to witness beautiful views, an amazing waterfront, and plenty of space for kayaking and paddle boarding. 

The event had family-friendly activities such as rock climbing, putt putt, and live music. Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM and fellow sponsors catered delicious food with the likes of hot dogs, drinks, and chips. Partnered alongside Lawton Kia we enjoyed showing support for our Military who do so much for us. We look forward to the opportunity of supporting events at Fort Sill in the future.

Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is proud to have been able to assist the Fellowship of Christian Athletes to deliver a donated vehicle to USO Oklahoma. Our retired United States Military member, Shawn Troup was allowed to help in this delivery of this amazing donation.

“They will use this vehicle to service our Military and us as a liaison to help reach their families while they’re far away from home”, stated Jennifer Kirby, Center Director, at the Oklahoma Branch.

Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is proud to have been able to assist in the completed delivery of this vehicle for USO Oklahoma. Thank you to all of our service men and women whom serve our country everyday, we thank you for your service.

March 9-11, 2018 | Oklahoma State Fair Park

This weekend, join our Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram team at the 2018 OKC International Auto Show. Though we in Lawton have to make the trek to Oklahoma City, it’s well worth the trip. As the only International Auto Show in the state, this event is a great opportunity to see all the newest innovations from the major automotive manufacturers up close. All of our favorites will be there, including RAM, Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep.

In addition to the newest cars, trucks and SUVs, you’ll see some of the outstanding classic cars and trucks the show has to offer. We look forward to seeing our fellow Lawton residents there.

At Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM, we aim to give back to our Oklahoma community whenever we can. One way we can do that is by hosting blood drives at our dealership. 

Our first Blood Drive benefitting the American Red Cross of Oklahoma was held on October 11, 2017. We were fortunate to have a successful drive, which gathered enough blood to help save 30 lives. 

Though it’s a quick and simple act, donating blood is a great way to positively impact another person’s life. That’s why we want to encourage our community to come out to our next drive event. It’s official! The polls are in and the Chrysler Pacifica has been named the 2017 Utility Vehicle of the Year. This was announced at the North American International Auto Show on Monday in Detroit. Edging out other top candidates, the Pacifica won this award in the first year of its induction. The Utility Vehicle of the Year award recognizes excellent vehicles for their superior design, safety, performance, driver satisfaction, value and innovation. Making the Pacifica a safe bet for Oklahoma drivers. 

The new car hosts a 3.6-liter V-6 engine capable of 287-hp and 18/28 mpg city/highway. The Pacifica also has a plug-in hybrid option that has an EPA-reported 84 MPG combined.

Jeep is making a truck! Enter: 2018 Jeep Wrangler.

Jeep has officially announced its 2018 Jeep Wrangler Pickup, estimated to hit showroom floors in Oklahoma at the end of 2017. The new truck is expected to have a similar design as its namesake, the Jeep Wrangler. Available in both two and four-door, consistent speculation has shown an updated Wrangler body and frame, but extended and equipped with a truck bed. This gives the Wrangler Pickup a sporty and tough appearance that sets it apart from other new trucks currently on the market. 

The new pickup is also expected to sport the same engine as the current Wrangler; a 3.6-liter V-6 with an option for either manual or automatic transmission. The engine is estimated to pump out approximately 305-horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque if the anticipated engine is used.

Last year we received news that Dodge Viper, one of Oklahoma’s most iconic sports cars, was officially declared dead. Now the Dodge Viper’s fate is sealed. The Detroit plant that manufactures the car will permanently close on August 31st after operating for more than 25 years.

Despite the Viper’s popularity through the years in Lawton, Oklahoma and across the United States, sales were extremely low. A small total of 630 were sold all of last year. Along with diminishing sales, a new federal safety standard that requires side-curtain air bags will come into effect September 1st, and unfortunately, the Viper’s body kit will not comply with the regulation. 

Do not mourn the loss of the Viper, Oklahoma. There are many more exciting Dodge, Chrysler, RAM, and Jeep vehicles to replace it.
