Chrysler, a company that has always shown priorities in improving the community outside of making new cars, has officially announced it is partnership with Canine Companions for Independence, an organization that helps raise awareness and support to provide assistance dogs to children and adults with disabilities. 

Fans can now meet the newest assistant dog trainee, Foley the Golden Retriever puppy. Foley, named after actor Scott Foley, will receive training and become an assistant dog to a deserving owner in need of a companion. 

“Through our partnership with Canine Companions for Independence, the Chrysler brand is able to help bring awareness to its ‘Give a Dog a Job’ program through our new online social initiative,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Passenger Cars, Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA North America. “As we follow Foley through his journey, fans will get a first-hand look at watching him grow and learn, from puppy training to becoming a fully trained assistance dog, and also gain an understanding of the huge amount of time and resources it takes to train these amazing dogs.”

Some of the training Foley will receive includes becoming accustomed to new homes, learning early and simple commands, behaving at the vet and on walks, and other ways to aid their new partner.

6th Citizens Police Academy

We at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram would like to wish congratulations to the 14 men and women that completed their CPA classes at the Comanche Nation Police Department’s 6th Citizens Police Academy. Held every Tuesday for 8 consecutive weeks, these students had to contribute 16 hours to reach their graduations.

As sponsors we were given the privilege of contributing delicious deserts and foods to their ceremony day. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day and your community. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish as well as thank you to the Comanche Nation Police Officer’s for teaching these students.

Today’s Most Popular Car Colors

Things are shifting in the wonderful world of car hues, and long-standing favorites are taking a backseat to less-traditional, more exciting colors – if you’re a man, that is. For women, classic neutrals and practical paint colors poised to stand the test of time remain top choices.

So – what are this year’s most popular car colors?

According to a study by iSeeCars, men are ditching sporty classics like red and black in favor of modern hues like orange, yellow, and brown. In fact, orange gained a staggering 73.3% in popularity this year, while red dropped by nearly 33%, to number four on the list. 

Conversely, women know what they want – and its gold, silver and beige cars (in that order).

“These study results could suggest that women are more practical in their choices. For the most part, they may just want to buy a reasonably priced car that safely drives them around,” said Phong Ly, co-founder of iSeeCars. “On the other hand, for men, perhaps they may be a bit more idealistic about cars, preferring something that has speed and is fun to drive.”

Only in Texas can you find something called the Texas Truck Rodeo. The Texas Truck Rodeo is an annual event organized by the Texas Auto Writers Association. The many different trucks manufactured that year are put to the ultimate test. Both on-road and off-road tests are completed over the course of the day. The writers then decide which trucks are the best in a variety of categories. Twenty-four awards are decided on, and given out!

FCA US brands won eight of the twenty-four possible awards making up one-third of the accolades! Michael Marrs, president of the Texas Auto Writers Association, said of the achievement, “The Truck Rodeo was extremely competitive this year with a record number of media and vehicle entries, so it’s impressive that the FCA brands received top awards in numerous categories.”

Mopar, the official parts producer for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles, has introduced a customer service analyzer to help auto dealerships enhance customer experience. The new Mopar Service Capacity Analyzer predicts the best customer service strategies both now and in the future.

The Service Capacity Analyzer uses algorithms to make these predictions based on factors such as the number of technicians and advisors as well as available hours. Dealers can also use the analyzer to test hypothetical situations and determine the best course of action, the data for which is compiled on a summary page. The analyzer predicts customer needs out to the year 2018.

The analyzer is offered in conjunction with other supportive materials and incentives from Mopar. This includes a Service Capacity Guidebook and incentive programs like the Technician Warranty Exemption Program and the Shop Competency Program. Mopar also offers the Career Automotive Program, which works with auto tech schools to match up newly trained technicians with dealerships, leading to many lifelong careers.
