Drive for Design
- The Drive for Design contest is an opportunity for high school students to learn about automotive design, career opportunities in automotive design and of course, win prizes.
- To help build publicity for this event, the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles North America hosted a Ram Sketch Battle through Facebook and Instagram, and 200 designs from all over the world were submitted, in which only 120 were eligible.

The sketch battle was open to children of all ages and families from around the world and the entries were judged by Ralph Gilles and Mark Trostle, Two of FCA’S most important designers. The challenge was to create their “wickedest and most outrageous design for a Ram truck”. In order to be considered, the entries needed to have FCADriveForDesign.com somewhere on their canvas. From professional looking renderings to pencil sketches, the ideas and designs were endless and all very unique. Some design went more modern and futuristic, while others paid homage to vintage cars. Some even included mashups of two or more vehicles that look like they could be the next concept vehicle!

The official Drive for Design contest is currently accepting submissions until May 1st 2020 for the ultimate RAM truck of the future. The contest is open to U.S. residents in grades 10-12 who are currently attending a U.S. high school. The 2020 Jeep Wrangler: Hybrid Jeep of the Future
Almost two years ago the 2018 Jeep Wrangler was revealed, but since then this iconic vehicle has not undergone a serious remodel. That big change is planned to drop in 2020 and here is what you can expect from the new and improved 2020 Jeep Wrangler models.
For drivers interested in fuel efficiency, a 270hp turbo-4 with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system will be optional. A 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 will be the first addition to tomorrow’s Wrangler with more torque for towing and off-roading adventures.
A plug-in hybrid Wrangler is set to be produced in 2020, though few details have been revealed about this hybrid. It’s likely the electric motors will be paired with either an Atkinson cycle version of the Wrangler’s 3.6-liter V6 or a modified version of the Wrangler’s 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. Whatever is underneath the hood, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Hybrid will come with a plug that accepts a charge and assists with power.
The 2020 Jeep Wrangler we know and love today has evolved significantly from its original concept from 1986. We can’t wait to see the radical changes made to tomorrow’s Jeep Wrangler.

2019 Ram 1500 features an updated RAM head
Truck owners love to make a statement. That is why we conceptualized our incredibly high grilles with tons of chrome and snazzy badging. The sheet metal and grille are the most obvious changes to the design of the new 2019 Ram 1500. The updated RAM head badge also received a subtle modern redesign.
At first glance, it appears to be the same badge that’s graced Dodge and Ram vehicles for years. But if you look closely you will notice that this new design has sharp geometric corners and straight edges in lieu of the original curves. It has a chiseled dramatic appearance rather than carved and is a far cry from the ornate Ram’s head that made its first appearance in 1981.
This new design also features updated RAM head lettering, replacing the crosshair in the truck’s grille. Little things like this do a lot to keep a vehicle’s design fresh. Dodge seems to be the only brand able to seamlessly change logos while maintaining brand cohesiveness.
