For the first time in 20 years, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles have topped the Strategic Vision Total Quality Awards, thanks to the strength of six segment leaders from Jeep, Ram, Dodge, and Fiat.

According to Strategic Vision, cars keep getting better and better every year, making it more and more difficult for a single winner to stand out in each category. The organization measured over 155 specific aspects of more than 46,000 customers’ experiences with new vehicles.

In the Specialty Coupe category, the Dodge Challenger tied at the top with the MINI Cooper Countryman (which is strangely not a coupe). The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited scored highest in the Entry SUV segment, as did the Dodge Durango among Mid-Size SUVs. Finally, Ram was named the Best Non-Luxury Brand, which, in terms of total quality, helped FCA achieve the highest overall score! “FCA has incrementally risen from one segment leader in 2010 to six segment leaders in 2015. Though at Strategic Vision we often preach about looking forward, it’s hard to not be in admiration of the turn-around achieved by FCA (Chrysler) company employees,” says Strategic Vision Senior Vice President Christopher Chaney.

FCA July Sales Up 6 Percent in July-Best Since 2005

We’re happy to report the best FCA July sales since 2005 with a 6 percent increase over last year. Overall, the automaker enjoyed its 64th consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains, which major accomplishments within each of its brands.

Multiple FCA models celebrated their best July sales performance ever, including the Jeep Wrangler, Patriot, Cherokee, and Compass, as well as the Chrysler 200, Dodge Challenger and Journey, and Ram ProMaster.

With help from the all-new Renegade, the most capable small sport-utility vehicle, overall Jeep sales were up a whopping 23 percent compared to last year, setting a 22nd consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains and the brand’s best July sales ever. Meanwhile, Chrysler brand sales were up 10 percent and Ram Truck brand sales were up 1 percent, marking their best performance since 2007 and 2006, respectively.

What is it about the irresistible notification sound of an incoming text? A sound that puts your actions into auto drive – find phone, read text. Unless you physically can’t get your phone, or forget that message came in, it can seem impossible to just wait.

With such a temptation by our sides every time we get behind the wheel, it’s not difficult to understand why texting and driving has become such a problem, and why it’s so hard to kick the habit.
