White 2020 Jeep Wrangler

Almost two years ago the 2018 Jeep Wrangler was revealed, but since then this iconic vehicle has not undergone a serious remodel. That big change is planned to drop in 2020 and here is what you can expect from the new and improved Jeep Wrangler models.

For drivers interested in fuel efficiency, a 270hp turbo-4 with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system will be optional. A 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 will be the first addition to tomorrow’s Wrangler with more torque for towing and off-roading adventures.

A plug-in hybrid Wrangler is set to be produced in 2020, though few details have been revealed about this hybrid. It’s likely the electric motors will be paired with either an Atkinson cycle version of the Wrangler’s 3.6-liter V6 or a modified version of the Wrangler’s 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder. Whatever is underneath the hood, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Hybrid will come with a plug that accepts a charge and assists with power.

The Jeep Wrangler we know and love today has evolved significantly from its original concept from 1986. We can’t wait to see the radical changes made to tomorrow’s Jeep Wrangler.
