Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

Jun 30, 2018

With the 4th of July spirit in the air, it’s only fitting that the Jeep Wrangler land at the top of the Cars.com 2017 American-Made Index (AMI) with the Jeep Cherokee coming in a close second place.

The new Cars.com AMI is based on an analysis of cars in the U.S. with high domestic-parts content sourcing for engines and transmissions and high U.S. manufacturing jobs supported per vehicle. Instead of focusing on overall sales, the AMI analyzed light-duty passenger vehicles in the U.S.

The two Ohio-made SUVs from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles landed at the top of this year’s list for their astonishingly high domestic-part content, the highest figures Cars.com observed this year. These high figures are due to the Wrangler and Cherokee engines and transmissions that are built daily in the U.S.

Next time you’re shopping for a vehicle stop by Lawton Chrysler Jeep Ram off SE Interstate Dr. in Lawton, Oklahoma to test drive the Wrangler or Cherokee and see for yourself the high performance of these ‘Merican vehicles.
