The amazing 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes with Uconnect, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto capabilities, and a never before seen removable Bluetooth wireless speaker you can easily remove from the truck! History Of The Jeep Gladiator

The history of the Jeep truck goes all the way back to 1947. Everyone thought the Jeep truck was a thing of the past since it’s discontinuation in 1992. However, the Jeep truck is back and better than ever as the 2019 and 2020 Jeep Gladiator!

With a five-foot truck bed and 30 more inches on it than the Wrangler, the Gladiator is ready to ride. You can get a 2019 or 2020 Wrangler. Also choose from a hard or soft top roof and LED turn signal and daytime running lights. The 2019 Jeep Gladiator comes with the updated 3.6 L V6 engine which is 6% more fuel efficient than last year with 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft torque. Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram at the USO

The weekly Wednesday lunch hosted at the Old Impact Center on Fort Sill Base in Lawton, Oklahoma by the USO of Oklahoma is a great community event held for all American service members and their families. Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram loves to attend these events and help cook or serve in the kitchen or help by setting up alongside USO volunteers.

If we’re not serving, we have the pleasure of sitting down to lunch with our local military men and women of Fort Sill. The food is always delicious, especially the mac & cheese from October 17^th when we visited! And of course, the company is unbelievable!

It means so much to our team at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram that we are welcome on base to serve and socialize with the service men and women, families, and workers of the Fort Sill Base. Our General Manager, Mr. Santiago made an appearance at the last Wednesday USO lunch break and even sat down for an interview with a reporter to discuss this partnership.

In May, Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram provided the USO with a new Jeep vehicle paid for by Jeep in partnership with the Fellowship with Christian Athletes. This new Jeep has been used to help Military families and USO staff get around on and off base while active duty family members may be out of the state or country.

A Holiday Send-Off with Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM

This December, the Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM team was honored to continue our partnership with the USO of Oklahoma at Fort Sill Base in Lawton, Oklahoma! Our team helps with the weekly Wednesday lunches hosted by the USO of Oklahoma once a month by cooking or serving in the kitchen alongside USO volunteers. We’re beyond happy to cover their luncheon costs, as well!

When we’re not in the kitchen we get to visit with our local military men and women, some of which have been loyal customers to Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram! This holiday season, we were especially grateful for the opportunity to thank our military and give them the delicious gift of good home-cooking! 

We hope this partnership continues throughout 2019 because it means so much to our salespeople and general manager! Our Military Discounts will for sure continue into 2019 and are applicable to all new and used inventory!

Donate Gifts to New Directions Women’s Shelter with Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram has a close connection with the Lawton community. We’re excited to announce our newest partnership for the holiday season with Marie Detty’s New Directions Women’s Shelter. We’ll be collecting supplies this holiday season from their wish list below!

You can visit Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram to donate gently used or new items from the wish list and fill our truck beds with toys, coats, and more from Monday, November 19th to Wednesday, December 19th!

Marie Detty’s New Directions Women’s Shelter in Lawton Oklahoma is a shelter open 24 hours a day housing women and children. There are housing options including transitional individual and family, permanent individual and family, and relocation services.

The New Directions Women’s Shelter offers emergency services such as food and clothing, cell phones, hygiene products, safety planning, domestic violence education, crisis intervention services, case management, and emergency local transportation with confidential shelter locations.

New Directions also offers assistance with orders of protection, legal assistance by an attorney, financial empowerment training, and court advocacy. For the women, the shelter offers job skill training, parenting skill training, and health and wellness programs. The children at the shelter are offered tutoring services, youth counseling, after-school programs, a school liaison, and safety planning.

For people not staying at the shelter, the Marie Dettey New Directions Women’s Shelter offers domestic violence workshops, non-resident counseling, peer support groups, specifically sexual violence support groups, and counseling for friends and family.

Major Kenneth D. Bailey of Oklahoma Honor

In honor of Veterans Day this November, Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram remembers Medal of Honor recipient, Major Kenneth D. Bailey, member of the U.S. Marine Corps from Pawnee, Oklahoma.

Major Bailey was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on October 21, 1910 and lived in Illinois later in life with his parents. He first joined the Illinois National Guard and after three years, moved to the 5^th Marines in Quantico, Virginia. From there, he served as a Detachment and Battery Officer on the USS Pennsylvania and then was promoted to first lieutenant in January 1939.

After also serving as Range Officer and Assistant to the Training Officer for the rifle range at Quantico, Major Bailey joined the 1^st Marine Brigade, the 7^th Marines, the 1^st Marines, the 5^th Marines, and finally the 1^st Marine Raider Battalion.

In September of 1942, Major Bailey covered a forced withdrawal while receiving heavy enemy fire and a severe head injury. Despite the head wound, Major Bailey led his troops in hand-to-hand combat for ten hours on Solomon Islands.

Major Bailey served the United States with Honor, Courage, and Commitment as the Commanding Officer of Company C, 1^st Marine Raider Battalion during the Japanese attack on Solomon Islands. He passed away soon after the battle on September 26, 1942.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt awarded Major Bailey with the Medal of Honor on March 24, 1943. The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor in action against an enemy force for individuals serving in the Armed Services of the United States.

Major Kenneth D. Bailey also received the Silver Star Medal, the Purple Heart, Presidential Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal with Fleet Clasp, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Major Kenneth D. Baily is buried in the Spring Hill Cemetery of Danville, Illinois.

Everyone has Thanksgiving traditions. Whether you meet your whole family at grandma’s or you keep it small with just you and your closest friends, it’s likely that most of our Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM customers will be doing something with food this Thursday. 

We have found that the best way to make a unique stamp on holiday dinners is with dessert. Turkey, ham, green bean casserole, those items are staples, but making your own dessert is a great way to create memories that are more unique. With that in mind, we collected some of our staff’s favorite recipes, and then found quick, unique and easy variations online. 

We hope these inspire one of your best Thanksgiving dishes yet!

Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram congratulates Alexandra Cunningham, our Teacher of the Month!

Ms. Cunningham teaches second grade at Whittier Elementary covering reading, writing, science, social studies, math, and social skills!

Ms. Cunningham was named Rookie of the Year during her first year of teaching at Whittier Elementary, but this is her first Teacher of the Month award. She chose to teach elementary because she wanted to make a difference by giving children an opportunity to love learning like she did growing up. Ms. Cunningham’s mother was a teacher in Lawton as well so it’s in her blood to serve the children of Lawton.

“Students in second grade are active learners,” said Ms. Cunningham,” They learn best when they are comfortable, moving, and have variety. On behalf of my Cunningham’s Clever Turtles, we would like to thank everyone for supporting Lawton teachers and students. It means the world to us to know that we have community members and organizations on our side.”

When Ms. Cunningham is not teaching, you can spot her driving her purple Chevy Spark to the dog park with her dog, watching sports, binge-watching tv shows, and working a second job at a restaurant on the weekends.

Lawton CJDR Sponsors Geronimo Bull Riding

Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram sponsored another rodeo this weekend in Geronimo, Oklahoma! The 31st Annual Geronimo Bull Riding Classic continues to grow every year in the small town of Geronimo, celebrating the towns birthday and raising money for the Geronimo Fire Department.

We love all rodeos down near Lawton because it gives our team at Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram the chance to visit with our loyal customers outside of the dealership and show off our awesome new vehicle inventory! The intimate community of Geronimo was extremely welcoming to our salesmen and the rodeo contestants at the bull riding event.

Past contestants include visitors from states like Missouri, Texas, Tennessee, Colorado, Iowa, and more, as well as other countries like Canada, Australia, Mexico, and Brazil! This year’s contestants had the chance to win up to $7,000 and walk away with the pride of winning the “biggest little bull riding in the world!”

Geronimo knows how to celebrate a birthday with other events like a town parade, fishing derby, bingo, cornhole tournament, scavenger hunt, and songwriters competition! Local American Idol Contestant, Rissa Watson, came back home to support the songwriters competition and perform!

We just can’t stay away from Rodeos

As self-proclaimed Ram Rodeo Rangers, we know what we’re talking about when we say that the people of Elgin, Oklahoma sure know how to host a dynamic rodeo! Our salesmen from Lawton Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram cannot stop talking about all of the fun they had at the Elgin Rodeo!

We love sponsoring rodeo events because it gives us the chance to interact with people outside of our immediate Lawton family like rodeo contestants from all over the state of Oklahoma and their families! We’re always so impressed with all of the training these men and women have to endure to entertain audiences and compete in a dangerous, but rewarding trade.

It’s also great to support our local groups and restaurants like the Little League Cheerleaders who were selling water, popcorn, and glitter tattoos at the Elgin Rodeo to generate funds for their squad! Pink Elephant and Native Smoke BBQ provided food both Friday, August 17^th and Saturday, August 18^th for the rodeo fans and veterans at the Elgin Rodeo.
